As the coldest, shortest, and darkest days of winter descend upon us, the Skoltice Showdown is here to light up your winter. We've crafted an experience that offers fun for everyone, regardless of skill level, and it's all happening at beautiful Viking Lakes!

Division

Boys High School

Description:The High School Division is for boy players who are currently in 9th - 12th grade. This is considered open for all skill levels. 

Eligibility: Must be in High School. 

    EVENT STRUCTURE

    Games: Each team is guaranteed 4 pool play games followed by bracket play. All teams advance to bracket play.

    Rosters: 4v4 Game-play with 6-8 players per team.

    Game Duration: Each game consists of two fifteen-minute halves, separated by a two-minute halftime break. Time is allotted 5 minutes for shoveling and warming up in between game-play.

    Round Robin: Teams will be placed in divisions and will play a round-robin format to determine advancement.

    Tiebreakers: In the event of ties in standings, tiebreakers will be determined by total points, goal difference, and total goals scored.

    Overtime: For games ending in a tie, a sudden-death overtime will be played. If still tied, a shootout will determine the winner.

    Officials: At least one off-ice official will monitor play, including scoring, timekeeping, puck resets, and infractions.

    Officials can award penalty shots for flagrant minor penalties or consistent reckless play. The shot must be taken from center ice within 30 seconds of the penalty call.
